As office manager for the Energy Realty team, Velma keeps everything running smoothly. She supports Sherry Campbell, helps the agents, answers calls, organizes Workshop Wednesdays, keeps track of events, and makes sure every sign lands exactly where it belongs.

Velma was born in San Antonio and grew up in Pearsall, Texas - a small town just south of the city. Fun fact: country music legend George Strait also grew up there, and his dad was Velma’s math teacher in junior high.

She’s called Houston home since 1992. While she doesn’t actively work as an agent, Velma keeps her real estate license current and occasionally meets with clients, something she loves, because she genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Her guiding principle is simple: treat others the way you’d want to be treated - fairly, kindly, and with respect.

Outside the office, Velma is happiest surrounded by her close-knit circle of family and friends. Her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren are her biggest cheerleaders. She’s also a creative at heart, with a love for painting, drawing, gardening, mosaic art, reading, decorating, and crafts - and she makes time for yoga, too.
