Energy Corridor International Festival

Come celebrate everything that makes the Energy Corridor a great place to Live, Work and Play on Saturday, April 27 from 2-6 p.m. for the first annual Energy Corridor International Festival.  The Plazas at the Parkway will proudly host this event in their parking lot at the corner of Enclave Parkway and Eldridge Parkway.

“There are so many great businesses with an international flavor in the Energy Corridor, and I think this event will help revive the spirit of the Energy Corridor after being hit hard by both the downturn in the oil industry and Hurricane Harvey,” said Patricia Flowers, Property Manager at the Plaza.

The event has been spearheaded by volunteer residents in the Energy Corridor including Sherry Campbell, Broker/Owner of Energy Realty; Amy Dukes, Publisher of The Energy Corridor Living Magazine; Barbara Denson, a long-time resident; Patricia Flowers; and Rhonda Monteverde, Realtor at Energy Realty.

“We decided on an international theme because we feel that the diversity of cultures is one of the things that makes the Energy Corridor a great place to live,” said Barbara Denson. “Whether you are shopping, walking in Terry Hershey Park, or eating out, you meet so many people from other countries who have made West Houston their home,” she added.

Enjoy live music, food and games in the heart of the Energy Corridor as local businesses and residents gather to share their cultural diversity and community spirit.  The celebration will continue into the evening as the local businesses open their doors with dinner specials, more live music, and maybe dancing.

“We have some of the best restaurants in Houston right in our back yard, including French, Lebanese, Mexican, Italian, Indian, and Venezuelan,” Sherry said. “We just need to remind the community how much we have to offer in the Energy Corridor”

There is no charge to join in the fun this year, so bring the whole family! If you are a local business and want to participate, please contact Sherry Campbell at 281-679-6266.
