A Multigenerational Home with Purpose

A Multigenerational Home with Purpose

Nicole and John first reached out to me in January 2025 with a clear vision for their next chapter. They weren’t just thinking about moving neighborhoods or upgrading finishes — they were thinking about their family’s future.

Their goal was to sell their current home and purchase a multigenerational home in Jordan Ranch later in the summer, one that would allow their son, Evan, to begin building independence while still having the comfort and support of home nearby. Evan was diagnosed with Autism/ADHD at age four and is very high-functioning. With Evan nearing the end of high school and stepping into adulthood, Nicole and John wanted a home that would allow him to practice independence in a safe, supportive way — offering his own space and routines while keeping family close.

Finding the Right Fit

Early on, Nicole shared that a traditional floor plan wouldn’t meet their needs. They were specifically looking for a home with a dedicated, private living area for Evan — not just an extra bedroom or guest suite, but a space that truly functioned like his own apartment.

They had already met with Lennar Homes and selected a floor plan in Jordan Ranch that checked every box. The design includes two separate front doors off the entrance porch: one leading directly into Evan’s apartment and the other into the main home. Evan’s space features its own living room and kitchen area, along with a bedroom and en-suite bathroom — giving him both independence and privacy while remaining connected to the family home.

Navigating the Details That Matter Most

One of the most important pieces of the puzzle had nothing to do with the house itself. Because Jordan Ranch falls within a different school zone, Nicole and John needed approval from the school district to allow Evan to complete his senior year at Tompkins High School. This was a major consideration, and we knew that nothing could move forward until that decision was finalized.

Once the school situation was approved, everything came together quickly.

We listed their Cardiff Ranch home on April 3rd and received two offers the very first weekend, a testament to thoughtful preparation, strategic pricing, and timing. The sale closed on June 3rd, and just a couple of weeks later, Nicole and John closed on their new home in Jordan Ranch. By the end of the month, they were officially moved in and beginning this exciting new phase of life.

A Home That Made A Difference

This transaction was especially meaningful because it wasn’t just about buying and selling real estate — it was about advocacy, planning, and listening closely to what truly mattered to my clients. Every family’s needs are different, and for Nicole and John, success meant creating a home that supports growth, confidence, and independence for their son.

Helping families find homes that genuinely support their lives — not just today, but years down the road — is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. I’m incredibly proud of Nicole and John for the intentional choices they made for their family, and I’m honored to have played a role in helping them bring that vision to life.
