August finished off with a bang! While oil prices dipped even lower, the stock market also took a dive in the last weeks of August. I think the general atmosphere is cautious right now.
While the start of school increases traffic on the roads, it usually slows down traffic in real estate. People are generally focused on getting kids in school, back-to-school shopping, and the completion of multiple forms that are sent home for parents to fill ouWhile the start of school increases traffic on the roads, it usually slows down traffic in real estatet.
Fortunately, we have Labor Day weekend thrown at us, just as we are all getting back into a routine. This 3 day weekend is a celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers, yet we celebrate it by taking time off; unless you work for a retailer. Labor Day is one of the biggest shopping and sale days of the year. If you are looking for new appliances or furniture, this is the weekend to buy!
Once the weekend is over, we hope to see more home buyers out there as well. It is a good time to buy a home with prices cooling and interest rates remaining low.
