With so much uncertainty about how the oil prices will affect the housing market in Houston, pricing a home has become more difficult. While a professional Realtor will want to help you maximize the sales price of your home, we also don’t want to over price your home and see it sit on the market for months. The longer the house takes to sell, the more the price tends to drop. Be realistic about your home’s value and discuss it carefully with your Realtor. If your Realtor suggests a price that seems unrealistic (but appealing), ask to see the comparisons that support this price. The best price for your home is not always the highest price. There are many reasons for choosing a Realtor and the right price is just one of them!
