Azalia Benjamin-Mathis operates her real estate business with one guiding philosophy: “Knowledge is power.” And that’s exactly what she gives her clients, empowering them with the information, education, and support they deserve during what is the biggest and most important financial decision of their lives.
Originally from California, Azalia earned her degree in human development and Spanish language and literature. She came to Texas through Teach for America and quickly came to thrive in Houston’s diverse culture and vibrant energy. Azalia found her way into real estate after making her own home purchase and falling in love with the entire process. From this experience, she was inspired to create unforgettable home buying and selling journeys for others — filled with genuine care, attention to detail, and meaningful communication. And, she does that equally in three languages: Farsi, Spanish, and English.
Now, a seasoned real estate professional, Azalia uses her passion for service, along with her vast market insight, to help people make informed decisions about their futures. As a Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), Azalia keeps a constant pulse on upcoming home and interior design trends. She infuses each staging project with her special touch and refined taste — showcasing listings to perfection or redesigning and remodeling homes to maximize their functionality and beauty. Azalia’s extensive familiarity with the unique communities and beautiful neighborhoods of Houston makes finding that one-of-a-kind, special place a fun and exciting process. Above all, Azalia treats every property sale or purchase as if it were her own.
When she’s not working, Azalia adores spending time with her husband and three children. Together, they enjoy visiting Houston's many attractions, dining at restaurants, and maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Azalia also has a deep appreciation for the arts, specifically traditional Persian folkloric and salsa dancing.
